Specialist Support for people with Parkinson's.
My Parkinson's nurse is an independent consultation service led by Parkinson's Nurse specialist, Emma Edwards, supporting people with Parkinson's across the UK.
The service is designed to complement NHS care by providing additional time for education, symptom discussion and personalised guidance.
It is mainly an online service, although home visits are available on request and to people local to Cornwall.

Suitable patients
Patients may benefit if they:

Inclusion criteria:
Over 18 years old
Has a confirmed diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson's, MSA, PSP, CBD.
Lives in UK

With patient consent, a summary letter can be shared with their GP, Parkinson's nurse, and /or Neurologist / Geriatrician.
Emma Edwards has been an Independent Prescriber for over 10 years now, and regularly prescribes and reviews medications where clinically appropriate in her NHS role. In private practice, prescribing requires CQC registration, which Emma is currently working towards. Once this is completed, and if a prescribing decision is deemed clinically appropriate from a private consultation, prescriptions can be electronically sent to the patients chosen pharmacy. A further follow up appointment will be arranged to review medication changes.
